My very own little lumberjack
See this little chunk? He's my little chunk. This is Emmett, my youngest son. As a cake smash photographer I see so many themes. I started planning Emmett's cake smash session when he was about six months old. I went though many themes before I decided on one. So, so, so many themes! I thought I was set in stone on a Candy Land theme, but then about 2 weeks before I did his session I decided on Lumberjack. Not sure why, but the theme was just calling to me. Honestly I think

Happy First Birthday Charlie
Happy first birthday Charlie! You only turn one once and Charlie was very serious about it at first. He was intrigued by my camera and studio lighting and oh goodness Mr. Teddy Bear (he was all about moving the teddy as soon as I re positioned him lol) but wouldn't crack a smile, but with some work, silly noises, help from his auntie, and of course smashing his cake she decided that getting his photos taken was pretty fun! I don't often shoot against my brown photo backdrop b

Berry cute twins
Everyone meet the Berry twins Nolan and London. Yup, I went there with the title of this blog. I can't help it, I just love silly jokes like that, lol. I don't know about all photographers, but when I hear twins I get excited. Jennifer (their mama), wanted a vintage cake smash session. She had me already hooked at twins then when she said vintage I became even more in love! We held the session at my studio here in Fort Worth TX and this is how it went. Mama and daddy said tha

Happy First Birthday!
I met little hunter when he was just a few days old at his newborn session. All babies are cute, but he was exceptionally adorable. Over the next span of a year I had the pleasure of photographing family pictures and Hunter's milestones. When it came time for his cake smash I couldn't believe a year had already past. When it came down to time to eat his cake Hunter dove right in! There was no hope for Micky Mouse, because Hunter smeared him everywhere! When he wasn't shoving

This ones for the sorority
Emariee came to my studio to eat some cake to celebrate turning 1! Her mama choose "rose pink, purple, and white" because those are her sorority colors and that she couldn't wait to show her sorority sisters she used them. Through out Emariee's session I couldn't stop commenting on how pretty she is. Lots of babies are very cute, but Emariee is just straight pretty! Now lets talk cake. She wasn't too sure what to think of the sugar bow or the cake, but oh boy once she tasted

What does the fox say?
Another cake smash session where my client had a creative idea! She wanted to have a fox woods theme. Normally I wouldn't think blue, orange, and white woodsy colors but that looked AWESOME with this session. From the get go he was all smiles miles a tear or two when he wanted to crawl away while covered in chocolate frosting, ha! This little chocolate munchkin loved the chocolate frosting but wasn't too sure about that cake until his mama hid some raisins in it. Yup you read
Cutest little lady bug you ever did see!
This little lady bug was in my studio a few days ago for her smash cake first birthday photo session. She didn't care much for her cake, it was all about the frosting for this sweet girl! I can't believe that just one year ago I was her newborn photographer and now I'm doing her first birthday photos. Babies sure don't stay babies for long. I love when clients come to my studio with original and creative cake smash ideas. When her mama told me she wanted a lady bug theme I in
